Founded in 2016 with a vision of taking the art of cinema beyond classical conventions and telling original stories in a universal language, ReCinema has established a strong presence in the industry through its commitment to high-quality production.
Our company made an indelible mark on Turkish cinema with its first feature-length project, Bozkır. The film achieved historic success at the 59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, receiving a total of 11 awards, including Best Film and Best Director. Bozkır also crossed national borders to meet audiences at prestigious festivals around the world, such as Sofia (Bulgaria), Gothenburg (Sweden), Edinburgh (Scotland), Boston (USA), Haifa (Israel), Kyiv (Ukraine), the SCO Shanghai Cooperation Organization Film Festival (India), and Mediterranean Films.
Driven by the momentum of this strong reference point, ReCinema continues its production journey without pause. Our new film project, Expectation, has already attracted industry attention during its production phase and was honored with the “Netflix Work in Progress” award at the 2025 Istanbul Film Festival’s Meetings on the Bridge.
Scheduled for release in 2026, Expectation—along with other projects currently in development—demonstrates ReCinema’s steadfast commitment to pushing the aesthetic boundaries of cinema and pursuing truth through the art of filmmaking.
